B-side is an initiative by Serendipity Arts centred around independent music and cultural currents stemming from contemporary music practices. The programme strives to spark conversation in music production, DJ-ing, research, performances, educational modules, music business and collaborative sonic explorations focused on emerging acts around South Asia. The programme kicked off with a workshop in DJ mixing in October in Goa. Some of the participants from the workshop will now be playing along with established DJs from the country at the Festival.

Flexi K is the DJ moniker of Stefan Kaye. Stefan is well known as the founding member of India’s first ska/reggae dance band, The Ska Vengers. He is a multiinstrumentalist who also performs in the bands Emperor Minge, The Jass B’stards and Aukomakik and is an in demand film soundtrack artist.

He began DJing in London in the mid 90’s. After moving to Spain in 2000 he had a regular night at a venue in Barcelona where he also brought together local musicians. Since moving to New Delhi in 2006, he has won the Jack Daniel’s Rock Award in best Indian keyboardist category on three consecutive occasions for his work with Emperor Minge and The Ska Vengers, conceptualised and produced the touring cabaret 'The Medicine Show' and has DJ'ed at numerous venues, corporate shows and other private functions.

DJ • VJ • musician • composer Stefan has comprehensive knowledge of dance based music from the pre-digital age and is a natural choice for parties and events that wish to move away from computer generated beats and are geared toward a slightly more mature and discerning dance crowd. Deploying his own remixes of dance tunes and providing live accompaniment with electric melodica and an array of percussion instruments, his sets are quite unlike anyone else.

Disclaimer: We would like to thank you all for your overwhelming response to the Festival! It is this enthusiasm that makes our return to Panjim all the more special. Performances and workshops have limited seating. Those who had pre-registered for a performance/workshop will be given preference for entry. Beyond that, if seats are left, entry will be allowed on a first come first serve basis.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
